Week Beginning 28th September 2020

 Another week...another blog!

What better way to start the week with our new yoga pose?

Tree Pose:

Fantastic for our posture and balance, it has been challenging but we all had a go and got better and better as we practised:

We also worked on our sounds and explored their shapes by tracing large letters with gems.

and as you can see we practised writing them too.

We explored numbers and matched digits to their corresponding set of objects and Numicon tiles.

PE with Mr Sander this week was very exciting as we got the hockey sticks out to practice our hand and eye coordination as well as finding out about the importance of using space carefully.

In Phonics, we wowed our grown ups by showing them how many of our initial sounds we can remember and write...well done everyone.

Children should have a topic letter in the bags today.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Week Beginning 21.9.20

 Hello everyone!

You might be wondering what we have been up to this week?

Take a look at our little busy bodies....

Autumn is on its way, we we are exploring conkers.

In yoga we learnt a new pose: Sliding Board:

This pose helps us built strength in our arms, tummy and legs.

We did some lovely counting in maths; matching a digit to the correct number of bears.

We had more parents shares to look through our Acorn Books and decorate them with lovely stickers and family pictures.

We have found time to relax and enjoy a range of different stories.

And we have attempting various different Literacy activities.

Not forgetting time to 'get messy'...

...And enjoy the great outdoors.

Hopefully the rain will stop and allow everyone to have a lovely weekend.

Welcome back and what a busy week it has been again...

The children have enjoyed a variety of activities both inside and outside.

We played a game of 'I Spy' and were set the challenge of writing the initial sound on our whiteboards.

So much to do outside including; washing, writing, cooking and much more.

As well as all of this, we have been working hard to remember all of the new rules and routines and lots of us have enjoyed visits from a parent for our first Share session.

The child have been introduced to our Class 'Recognition Board' this week.  Here we have a focus which could be anything from being polite to working hard or even eating our dinner.  When a grown up spots this happening, each individual gets to place their name on the board for everyone to share in the celebration.

Lots of us were very excited to have our first PE session with Mr Sanders on Thursday... we can see why.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
