Week beginning 17th
This week we have continued our learning around Flowers.
We have also started to see our flowers emerging through the soil in our pots too.
Rained off this week for PE, Mr Sanders had a very special treat for us...he bought in his archery equipment and we got to do some target practice in the Hall instead.
Well done everyone.
Have a lovely weekend.
Week Beginning 10.5.21
Sorry that we haven't been able to post for the last couple of weeks, for some reason we have been unable to access our Blog page in school, fingers crossed all is back to normal now...
Well, we had an unusual visitor in Class 1 this week....
Elsewhere in our Topic, we have gone with Reggie's choice in class, finding out about flowers...
Apologies for the late post, the website was down on Friday afternoon and wouldn't let me publish the post.
YOGA: We continued from last week and added movements to our frog pose. We stretched our legs and lifted our bottoms (froggies). We then crouched down again and leapt up high, hopping all around.
This term we are planning our work following the children's interests and suggestions. Each child has been given the opportunity to think of a place where they wish they could be...
Leo suggested funfairs as a place to be.
Have a look at some of the our funfair maps and rides...
Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a very happy Easter holidays.
Time flies and here we are starting the SUMMER TERM!!
YOGA NEWS....
We have been practicing a new pose: FROG POSE.
Take a look at the pictures below
This pose is great for strengthening legs’ muscles and improving balance. It stretches an activate foot muscles. Well done class 1!
We have also started a new topic....Wish you were here. (Topic letters should be the children's reading bags)
This week we have used the book the Snail and the Whale, as the snail takes a ride right around the world seeing all sorts of wonderful things.
We have used this as a starter to inspire the children to think about where they would like to go and why?
We will then use this to inspire our planning throughout the term, so far it looks as though we could be travelling back in time, be off to the funfair or even take a trip to the seaside.
Watch this space!
in Maths this week we have been thinking about numbers and how to represent them in different ways, e.g if you see a digit, can you represent that number with the bead strings?
