Week Beginning 3rd December 2018

Welcome back to our blog. It's beginning to look a lot like....Christmas in Class One.
We are working on our hands with our finger gym. We have used large tweezers to move colourful baubles on our Christmas tree.

Great little Elves.

We have added some sparkles to our writing and traced our names in the glitter trays.

Some of the children continued the activity writing words from our phonics board.

Our cottage has been transformed into Santa's Grotto by the children. The elves are very busy in there making toys and wrapping them all up.

We had the pleasure to meet not one but three little Santas who cleverly disguised themselves as Mr Claus with fluffy white beards...

Children have enjoyed the transformation of our role play area into Santa's workshop.
Here we have two busy elves, building new carriages to carry the presents so that the reindeers and the sleigh can have a rest.

Mr Sanders set the children a real challenge this week, to revisit and remember all of the skills we have been developing over the past few weeks.  he was very impressed with our co ordination and our memories.

Thank you for sending all of the lovely costumes in for next weeks play.  The children have tried them on in school this week so that they can all see what they look like ahead of our dress rehearsal next week.
Please remember the play is at The Village Hall not here in our school hall. This means that we do not have to limit tickets so you can bring other relatives too.  Parents are asked to pay £1 on the door to help cover hall hire. The PTA provide refreshments and a hold a super raffle in the interval.  The performances are both on Wednesday at 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock. Any further questions please see one of us in the playground.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
