Children had the opportunity to ask questions and look at the sleeping baby.
Shh! We mustn't wake the baby!
We learnt that once babies are a few months old they can start to eat some food which has to be soft, bland and light.
We peeled fresh vegetables, washed them and chopped them.
...and mushed them all up!
Didn't appeal to many of us but we all had a try. Some of us thought it tasted good especially if we added a bit of salt.
Meanwhile in the land of sounds....
Children created some lovely shiny patterns by placing shiny gems over the letters we have learnt so far.
In maths we focused on counting and matching digits to the correct amounts.
The children have enjoyed many more activities throughout the week. Angus and Lucas went on a letter hunt in the sound and then responded to Mrs Webs extra challenge of turning them into words. Well done boys!
We have also been working hard on our pen/pencil grip. Its all becoming a little easier each day.
Finally, children finished the week making us grown ups feel as if they were well and truly settled into their new routines...why? because the whole class joined a game of schools led by various different teachers, non of which were called Miss Welby or Mrs Storer.
We watched and listened in amazement to hear just how much you have all taken on board.
A great effort everyone!
Don't forget, we have our visit from the Blyth Woods group next Friday at 1.10. Everyone is very welcome.
