Take a look...
children have enjoyed the daily phonics sessions so much that they decided to carry on through they day writing sounds during their choosing time!!
Well done everybody!
This week we spent time looking at a picture map of a town by the seaside and talked about all the things that we can do at the seaside.
We played a board game called 'At the Beach' and played fairly waiting patiently for our turns.
During PE with Mrs Storer we learnt new parachute games which involved team work and good listening. Here you can see us turned into a giant centipede walking around the hall.
We then made a giant mountain in the air and climbed to its top and found that we had flattened it, like a pancake!
In the end we did some synchronised group sit ups. Another well done!
In maths we have continued to work on number recognition. We picked a lego tower, counted the number of bricks, matched to the digit which we then matched to the corresponding Numicon tile.
We enjoyed sharing news with parents on Wednesday afternoon/evening about all that we have achieved so far this term during our first parents evening.
Wow! What an exciting end to the week... we joined forces with Class 2 and haven't we been busy.
First we baked our very own Autumn themed rolls.
We also worked together in teams to build some fantastic bridges. We had to think about how to join the materials, whether cars could travel over or under them and a whole lot more.
You all deserve a rest. Have a FANTASTIC half term everybody.
