Our first week!

Wow what a busy one it has been too.  We have well and truly been exploring our new environment both inside and out.

We welcome all our new families and hope that you and your children have enjoyed the first week.  Our Blog is updated at the end of every week so that you can see what the children have been learning in class.  You can always post a comment too if you want to be involved.

Take a look and see what we have been up to so far...

Digging for treasure and bugs in the digging area.

Cooking in the mud kitchen.

Writing.

Learning how to use the computer.

And lots  of playing, interacting and getting to know our new friends.

We were even lucky enough to have a visit from lots of family members on Wednesday morning for our first Share, thank you to everyone who joined us.

Following this we have already had one parental observation from home returned to school.  Please feel free to send these as often as you like, we love to know what the children are up to at home as well.

The children have bought home their reading bags tonight with their first set of sounds and journals.  Information about hearing your child read can be found in the front of the book.  If you have any queries please come and ask us.

So a little glimpse into how busy we have all been at school and just why the children are so exhausted at the end of their first full week.
Have a good rest this weekend and we will see you all on Monday.

Class 1 Staff.
