Week beginning 18th April

What an exciting week again in Class 1!

Shaun the Sheep...a funny character!
Our Cinema Day was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Children were given tickets with allocated seats and made the most of the pop up shop for snacks and refreshments.

Children made a trip to the classroom's Bank to get money to pay for their snacks.
Counting pennies to buy popcorn.

'5p and 1p makes 6p. I can buy popcorn now!'

It was interesting to listen to the children share their favourite part of the movie with their friends. A big well done to everyone for planning and doing great writing about the movie.

Meditation has officially started.  We listened to calm music and learnt to relax our body, took deep breaths and tried very hard to focus on what we were doing. I was really impressed with how engaged and sensible the children were.

This was followed by a fantastic visit on Thursday where the children were invited to take part in workshop.
Feeling Happy and Calm.

''It made me feel like I was floating like a leaf.''

The children are well and truly absorbed by their topic now and have enjoyed writing about their favourite part of the film and their favourite characters.  We have even used our friends from Shaun in the Sheep in our maths to learn how to solve word problems.
Solving how many cups of tea the farmer had and how many legs Shirley and Shaun had altogether.

We have a selection of our art work at the exhibition in Halesworth at The Cut this weekend, do pop along and have a look if you get the chance.
