Week Beginning 4th May 20

Welcome back to our class blog.
Needless to say you have all been brilliant and thank you again for your continuous support, it is very much appreciated 😊.

This week we worked on Sophie's story: SLEEPING BEAUTY.
With no further ado find out what you and some of your friends have been busy doing this week.

Lenny has been busy finding out how many pencils he could poke through a plastic bag filled with water. How many pencil can you see?

Over to Eliza now...with some super writing.

We have had lots of news of super phonics sent our way too.
Well done Orla.

Well done Sophie.

Well done Jake.

More shape work in Maths, hopefully the 3D shapes were a little less tricky this week.

Some of you have been very kind and made some warning signs for princess Aurora. This way she should not prickle her finger on the spindle! Well done!

We looked at a special picture drawn by a famous artist and we thought of things we do to make a positive difference
A wonderful message here from Lenny. ❤

We love to see how busy you are away from your school work too.

Look at these lovely stones Orla has been busy painting.

Cycling is a good way of getting our daily exercise, Jessica has been doing just that.
She managed to cycle all the way to Walberswick!  Wow, a fantastic achievement.

Pandora has been busy keeping herself and her pony exercised.

Sophie continues to be busy with her vegetables, these Radishes look delicious...Peter Rabbit would be after them.

Kit and Valentine have been busy with their big sister by the looks of things.
Thanks for the motorbike picture, that was great that you shared that idea on the Classroom earlier in the week.

Finally we end our shorter week with some finding out about and preparation for VE Day tomorrow.

Great Union Jacks Lenny and Jake.

Also one of our activities today was to think about the medals awarded to the brave people after the war.  The children were asked who they would like to give a medal to and why....
Lovely responses have included, Mummy, because I love her.  Great Grandma because she needs cheering up.  Brothers and Sisters and many more.

As we said on the post, we think that you all deserve a medal at the moment, children and parents included.

Obviously with circumstances as they are, we won't all be enjoying our school / village activities on the playing field.  However the weather forecast is great and so time in the garden should be a must for everyone.

Enjoy your Bank Holiday Weekend everyone and we will see you again on Monday to see who's topic is next?
