This week we have started our journey to a different part of the world using the text Handa's Surprise.
Handa is busy about her day in Africa so we looked at where this is on our map.
We have enjoyed many activities but one of our big challenges was to build a basket that could carry something.
Look mine can go on my head like Handa!
What a selection of different ways to solve a problem, well done.
This then generated its very own game of shops as children used their baskets to go to Eli's shop to buy things to put in them.
Outside we have been pruning the garden to let other things grow know we have the longer sunny days ahead. We enjoyed using the herbs we cut in the mud kitchen.
The children had a very different day on Tuesday with many visitors as we had our interviews to find a lovely new helper ahead of Mrs Webb's break to have her baby. We are pleased to share that Miss Pace will be joining us in Class 1.
